We are so excited to host Movie Night this Friday, May 13th, from 2:30-4:30. The 5th Grade Service Group has worked hard organizing the event, and we can’t wait to share how much money we raised to help fight hunger in Syria.
Parents, we do need you to be aware of one fact. The ASA bus your child will be taking home on Friday is the Middle School ASA bus, so the stop may or may not be different from what you are used to. Therefore, please recheck the bus and the stop you selected to ensure you are aware of where your child will be getting off. Please make arrangements for an adult to be there to pick your child up. Should you have any questions or concerns, please email 5th grade teacher, Matt Kopacka, at firstname.lastname@example.org . The bus list is attached for your convenience.
We thank you for your support in this wonderful fundraising event. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Bus schedule for students who have signed up to attend.
Next Tuesday, April 19, we will be taking the kids to the Shanghai Natural History Museum as part of our new science project-based unit about plants and animals. Please pack lunch for your child on that day. As per school policy it is your right to not allow your child to attend with us that day. If you do not want you child to attend please notify me as soon as possible.
Also, we are still in desperate need of parents to attend with us. We will leave the school at 8:30 and leave the museum to return to school at 1:30. If you volunteer to go with us you can take your child directly home after our time at the museum is over. As of now our class only has 3 parents coming with us. They are:
Ana, Isabelle, Anita and Paula (Paula is volunteering for both classes).
If you would like to volunteer please let me know as soon as possible. If you have any questions please let me know.
Good Afternoon Parents of 1CN,
Student-Led Conferences start tomorrow. If you have a child who has a conference on Thursday, please pick them up at 2:45 in the classroom and then return with your child at your scheduled conference time. The conference and parent bus schedule is attached below. Please email if you have any questions regarding the next two days. The students are excited to share their learning with you! Thanks again for your continued support in your child’s education.
Grade 1 will be taking a field trip to the Shanghai Natural History Museum on April 19. We are looking for parents who are willing to take a day and go with us and the kids. Your role will be to facilitate small groups of students (the more parent volunteers the smaller the groups) as they tour the museum. Please reply to either Christal or I if you will be coming with us. There are two ways you can join us that day; meet us at the museum or come to school and go with us on the bus. If you do attend, you are more than welcome to take your child home directly after the tour is over. A field trip permission slip and more details about the day will come home with your child after Spring Break.
Daniel and Christal
